Key technical components for air pistol shooting performance

چکیده

Air pistol shooting is a complex sport discipline with high demands on fine motor control and postural stability. Earlier studies have reported questionable results regarding the most important technical components for air shooting. Therefore, aims of present study were to investigate key also how well explain performance in Eighteen national-level shooters completed simulated qualifying round consisting 60 shots. During each shot, score 17 aiming point trajectory variables measured an optoelectronic training device. Principal component analysis revealed five components: time, stability hold, accuracy, cleanness triggering timing triggering. Four (not time) correlated significantly (r = .48 – .74; p < 0.05) score. Two stepwise multiple regression analyses identified accuracy followed by hold as components, accounting 75–78% variance Accordingly, these should be focus coaches athletes when conducting tests training.

Shot Moment in Optoelectronic Training in the Air-Pistol Shooting

The aim of the research is to study the interdependence between the shot moment parameter and the result in shooting simulator training. The article considers the problem of the relationships between a shot moment parameter and a virtual result in training with the SCATT optoelectronic shooting simulator. Special technique is proposed and the experimental investigation with the parallel fixatio...

Finger Flexor Force Influences Performance in Senior Male Air Pistol Olympic Shooting

The ability to stabilize the gun is crucial for performance in Olympic pistol shooting and is thought to be related to the shooters muscular strength. The present study examines the relation between performance and finger flexor force as well as shoulder abduction isometric force in senior male air pistol shooting. 46 Spanish national level shooters served as test subjects of the study. Two max...

Motor learning of practical pistol shooting

The present study aimed at investigating changes in behavior (shooting precision) and electrophysiological variables (absolute alpha power) during the motor learning of practical pistol shooting. The sample was composed of 23 healthy subjects, right-handed, male, between 18 and 20 years of age. The task consisted of four learning blocks. A One-way ANOVA with repeated measures and a post hoc ana...

Neural Markers of Performance States in an Olympic Athlete: An EEG Case Study in Air-Pistol Shooting.

This study focused on identifying the neural markers underlying optimal and suboptimal performance experiences of an elite air-pistol shooter, based on the tenets of the multi-action plan (MAP) model. According to the MAP model's assumptions, skilled athletes' cortical patterns are expected to differ among optimal/automatic (Type 1), optimal/controlled (Type 2), suboptimal/controlled (Type 3), ...

Validation of a Dumbbell Body Sway Test in Olympic Air Pistol Shooting

We present and validate a test able to provide reliable body sway measurements in air pistol shooting, without the use of a gun. 46 senior male pistol shooters who participated in Spanish air pistol championships participated in the study. Body sway data of two static bipodal balance tests have been compared: during the first test, shooting was simulated by use of a dumbbell, while during the s...
